Effect of moisture on performance of fastenings in wood structuresCompleted

Objective:

The main thrust of the proposed project is the improvement of the design methodology for wood structures. The primary objective to be achieved during this phase is to develop a methodology for taking into account effects of moisture variation on failure modes in dowel-type connections. Specifically, the project will focus on verification of the service factor KSF for connections in CSA O86 standard for engineering design in wood.
