On-line non-destructive testing and evaluation system for finger-joint evaluation and controlCompleted

Objective:

Forintek has developed an X-ray scanning-based non-destructive evaluation (NDE) technique. The first objective of this project is to calibrate and verify this technique on the X-ray machine currently used for lumber grading (i.e., X-ray MSR lumber grading machine). The final objective is to develop an on-line non-destructive quality evaluation and control system for finger-joints (e.g., X-ray MSR finger-jointed lumber grading machine).
