Process Automation for the Canadian Prefab Homes IndustryCompleted

Objective:

Improve productivity and market share of Canadian prefabricated home manufacturers.

  • Bring the manufacturing efficiency up to the level of countries such as Sweden, Finland, Japan, and the United States in claiming market share;
  • Take advantage of a trend in the US toward increased use of prefabricated components;
  • Allow Canadian fabricators to mechanize its methods, develop computer-based tools to facilitate design and integration in the production line, improve the performance, quality and diversity of its products;
  • Focus on process automation to decrease production costs and increase production capacity. Do a literature research and than develop automation methods for the Canadian prefab house and prefab walls builders suited for different company sizes.
