Segmenting the Canadian Consumer Landscape for Kitchen CabinetsNew

Objective:

This report presents detailed information on cabinet features put in place in Canada in the period from 2007 to 2011. The dataset includes a feature by feature inventory of 522 kitchens, approximately two thirds of which are in new construction and one third representing renovations of existing homes. These kitchen features are presented in aggregate and then select market segmentations are presented. Market segmentations are based on type of home and region.


This is the most comprehensive publicly available report on cabinet features available in Canada. It comes at a time when the cabinet industry is facing increased imports and decreased export opportunities.
It is hoped this information will help the cabinet sector better target their product offerings by region and home type.
