Utilizing Low-Grade Wood Species in Value Added ProductsóResin/Wood InteractionsCompleted

Objective:

Enable the utilization of low-grade wood species in value added products through fundamental understanding of resin/wood interactions and identification of optimum resin characteristics for these species.

  • Obtain mechanistic understanding of the impact of low-grade wood species on resin curing kinetics;
  • Evaluate the resin/wood interface performance, and to identify optimum resin properties.
