Objective:

  • Develop a secondary industry for the use of softwood lumber to match the production of Canada ’s softwood lumber industry;
  • Develop a support model for designing houses using standardized structural components and simultaneous processes for automation and mass customization; and
  • Incorporate, into design systems, wood structure engineering constraints and functional needs for the production of manufactured housing.
