Characterization of Fibres for Medium-Density FibreboardCompleted

Project leaders: Riedl, Bernard

Objective:

Work conducted at Université Laval in conjunction with Forintek confirmed damage (mechanical and surface oxidation) to MDF fibres during refining. This project will acquire better knowledge of the quality of gluing and the impact of modifications to the fibre during the refining process, in order to improve performance of the manufacturing processes and the mechanical properties of the panels.

Start date: 2005-04-01 End date: 2007-03-31
